How Driftya works
A clear view of what happens before and after you write a note.
When you write a note
- You write a short note and choose a mood for the note.
- You decide if the full note trail is public or private.
- The system chooses the next person based on activity and language, not targeting.
When one arrives
- You can reply and pass it along, or simply pass it along.
- Each reply becomes a hop in the chain, visible to the next people.
- If you opt in to "Drifted With", you may receive notes from that person again.
- You can set a daily mood on the arrival screen; while active it nudges routing toward compatible notes.
If you do not reply
Notes have a window. If you do nothing, the note will move on after the window ends. There is no penalty and no obligation to respond.
What "drifting" means
Drifting is a quiet handoff. Notes move along a chain one person at a time, forming a story without a feed or follower counts.
That is it
You don't need to decide anything right now.
